Anchoring Truths from God's Word

Are You Offended?

We all, at some point in our life, have been offended by someone else. David writes in this Psalm that those who love God and His Word will have a peace that will hinder offenses. During Jesus’ ministry, He said, “Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” This saying offended a lot of people because it was a hard saying. It caused a lot of people to leave Jesus because they did not understand His saying. Sometimes, the truth hurts even though it can be offensive. We must always take God’s Word as truth.
